The Volunteer and Internship Programme is a way to give Ugandan and international youth the opportunity to make a contribution to different communities.
Through this project, Leading Change Uganda extends its reach by sharing our skills and resources with partner organizations and individuals. We welcome local and international volunteers to come to Uganda, and we place such volunteers in different local organizations to help them learn about the local community and share their experiences. This project allows cultural exchanges with other organisations around the world.
In 2016, we also recruited 12 volunteers within Uganda and outside Uganda into our team in order to enable smooth implementation of organizational programs. Our current team includes individuals from around the world, including Uganda, Australia, the United Kingdom, Tunisia and Croatia (see the "About Us” page). These international team members volunteer their skills remotely, and work on projects while staying in their countries of origin.
We welcome volunteers who wish to help us in Uganda, and those who would prefer to work with us remotely. So far, it has been an exciting experience to work with our partners around the world towards our shared goals.
